M10 - Globular Cluster in Ophiuchus

M10 was discovered by Charles Messier in 1764. He described it as "a nebula without stars." William Hershel was the first to resolve the cluster into stars. Globular clusters reside in the halo around most galaxies. They contain some of the oldest known stars. |

| Exposures: | 6 @ 5min. |
| Processing: | Images were focused using the camera's live view. Frames were calibrated, aligned and combined in ImagesPlus. The composite image was adjusted in Photoshop. Topaz DeNoise was applied. |
