| M17, the Omega Nebula, is also known as the Swan or Horseshoe Nebula. This emission nebula is not associated with any star cluster and is more condensed than M8 (the Lagoon Nebula). It lies at the extreme northern border of Sagittarius, near Serpens Cauda. | ||
