M42 - Great Orion Nebula

Orion Nebula
  The Great Orion nebula is a very bright object that is clearly visible to naked eye as part of Orion's sword. It is the closest massive star-forming region. It is also one of the most photographed deep-sky objects.
   
Telescope: Orion 120ED
Camera: Canon XS (1000D) (Hutech modified); Raw capture; ISO 800
Mount: Losmandy G11 w/Gemini guided by Orion SSAG on 500mm scope
Exposures: Ha: 7 @ 10 min.; Color: 5 @ 5 min.
Note: Images were focused using Live View. They were converted with Canon ZoomBrowser and then reduced, aligned, and combined in ImagesPlus. The final image was adjusted (Curves, Levels) in Photoshop CS2
